that information from?

The C64 has graphics, a text mode, and it has sprites. They don't
relate to each other.


If your screen looks muddy, you should try the luminance signal (BAS)
instead of the composite (FBAS). I think it's the colors which make
your signal so bad.

If you have even an S-VHS input (on you TV, for example), then you could
also try to put the chrominance and luminance pin to pin to the CRT,
provided that you're not an unlucky one who has a board version A which
does not have the chrominance signal.
