Yes; got the email-- something about "I found it" with a URL. (No telling
what "it" is/was. I routinely delete several such emails every day without
reading beyond the first line.) Probably, the purpose of many such emails is
to score a hit, which translates eventually to $$$.
Of course, the big reason so much stuff on the net is "free" is
advertising. So, banners on web pages and a bit of spam in emails is to be
expected.
Non-computer-stuff spam on the Csa2 newsgroups is different. Sending an
'abuse@' email complaint to one or more servers listed in the header path seems
like a good idea.
