Help! I think my KERNAL32.DLL file is corrupted!

I have Windows NT 4.0 on one of my four computers (I have a PC, two Macs
[one of which I'm on right now], and an Apple //e). The help file says it
supports DirectDraw and DirectSound, but when I launch a program that uses
those, it says that OpenVxDHandle can't be found in KERNAL32.DLL.

Also, I just installed a SoundBlaster card. I can play music and sounds
just fine, but ApplePC (an Apple II emulator for DOS) won't let me select
the SoundBlaster option. I tried altering Config.nt and Autoexec.nt to
load the Sndblst.dll file, but putting it in Config.nt closes the VDM
before it even begins, and putting it in Autoexec.nt results in a File Not
Found error.

I've searched the help file but I've found no help at all.
