Garamond (condensed) is what they're using now.
The original font's name escapes me, but it's not hard to find -- it's the
lower-case portion of the same font used for the first few Star Trek movies.
A search on (star trek near font) ought to turn something up, e.g.
http://www.pathcom.com/~boby/fonts.htm
where it looks to be hiding under the name Deep Space Nine, or
http://www.amhack.com/fonts.html
which probably has it in that big 794K file.
