Making GS disks on a mac: will it work?
Hello
I was asked by my friend to try and transfer his IIc poetry+writings from Apple
Writer over to a PC. I've tried apple disk transfer but I guess it needs to be
on DOS 3.3 disks, something that would take too much time to retype in(i cant
copy prodos files to DOS 3.3 disks, only the other way around)...
Fortunately, I found a IIGS+5.25+3.5 drive for 5 bucks at the Goodwill by me,
and so I'm hoping I can simply get a term program for it and transfer them to my
PC via nullmodem, or dialup to my account on the GS. I do have access to a mac,
so if there is way I can create a bootable GS disk with a term program on it, or
simply copy utilities so I can copy the 5.25" disk files over to the 3.5" disk
and use that on a mac I should be in business.
If anyone can tell me how feasible it would be to create a 3.5" boot disk with
copy/term program utilities on a mac, for the GS, let me know... or with any
other tips you may have.
Thanks,
Eric
