Not quite a modem. It lets an AV Mac's DSP or a PMac's PowerPC chip simulate
a modem via software. The Geoport lets you connect the phone line to a
Geoport compatible serial port. Not just any will do, as I'm sure you have
noticed how the plug is keyed and has nine pins.
