In general, the toggle-switch changed one character only, the 'hash'
symbol above the 3 button.  In models destined for other countries
where English was spoken (England/Australia/Ireland/Singapore etc.)
that button changed the 'hash' to an English 'Pound' sign.
The 3-button also had a 'pound' sign on it, rather than a 'hash'.

Totally useless in countries like Australia where dollars had replaced
'pounds', as the national currency, in 1966.
