Here again the type of interface really is not going to make
any real difference. The computer sends the first page in a 
second or so and then you sit and wait until the printer gets
almost done printing before you regain control of the computer.
The amount of time spent sending information to the printer is
very small compared to the amount of time waiting for the 
printer to print.

Using a print spooler may make a difference but I have found
that using that option in AppleWorks Classic has not been 
wotrth the effort. When I have a long, time consuming print
job I just find something else to do and let the printer do
its' work.
