The pinouts on the Apple II are similar to those which you would find on a
PC.  The big difference is the TERM/MODEM block, which allows you to swap
a couple of pins to define the purpose of the serial card.  As far as I
know, you can not damage the card by having the block pointing the wrong
way.  So, if at first the gender changer does not work, just flip the
block around.  (It simply serves as an internal NULL modem adapter.)
