Kraft used to make a "mouse stick".  It was a joystick that included a
switch to change it from a joystick to a "mouse".  (I've had two 
different ones over the years.)

If the owner had an Apple //c, it plugged into the Mouse/Joystick port
and with a flick of the switch changed its identity.

If the user had an Apple //e, they had to flick the switch and swap the
connector between the Mouse and Joystick ports.

So for the original posted, the answer is still 'no'.  The reason for 
this to differences in the electronic interfaces.
