I think you're talking about the time-setter that comes with the NSC,
which can't work with a nonnumerical date. The third-party util
SMARTWATCH can set the time correctly since it doesn't care.

Okay, here's what I know: The info provided with the NoSlot tells how
to patch ProDOS 1.0 through 1.8, but not anything higher. For that
purpose, they provided a standalone driver, NSCLOCK.SYSTEM -- in
other words, screw trying to patch ProDOS and just use the driver.
Never had a problem with my DS1215E in my //e.
