SHK files transfer from PC to Apple

I've seen several postings on how to transfer .shk files from a PC to an
Apple but I guess the postings are old and my newsgroup reader is not
showing them anymore.  Anyway, I've been able to tranfer .DSK files from my
PC to my Apple without a problem; however, since .SHK files are not disk
images but compressed files, it looks like I can not use ADT 1.22.

Any suggestions on how to transfer these .SHK files from my PC to my Apple
IIc+?
