No-Slot Clock & Apple IIc+

Hi,

I just bought a Dallas Smartwatch (aka No Slot Clock) for the Apple II
series of computers and I don't know where it should go.  When I opened my
Apple IIc+ (not IIc), I found two removable chips: (1) a 28pin chip w/
"Monitor ROM" written on the board and (2) a another chip (I'm assuming the
ROM chip -more than 28pins) w/ "65C02" written on it.  The Dallas Smartwatch
has 28 pins - it should be place in the ROM slot and then the ROM should be
mounted on the Smartwatch.  The problem is that the Dallas Smartwatch (28
pin) will not fit in the ROM (more than 28 pins) slot.  Am I doing something
wrong?  Am I looking at the wrong chip?  What do I do?
