What apple does the applecolor RGB Monitor go to?

I picked this thing up a little while back, intending to hook it up to a mac
IIsi. Although the little light on it goes on and it makes the standard high
pitch noise monitors make, I couldnt get a picture out of it. So, I checked
apple's help database, and some articles said that this monitor only works
with a IIGS, and others said it would work with a IIGS or some older macs,
such as the IIsi. So, can anybody tell me definitevly what systems the
monitor will work for?
    Also, does anybody know of a news group for classic macs, so I can get
this one working? I know its off topic, but I might as well ask while i'm at
it.
    What I'm trying to do is get my IIsi working. When I plug the thing in,
it makes all the appropriate noises, and when I use a monitor adapter
(which, on the outside of the package, says "works for all macs," but in the
manual says, "works for all macs except the IIsi") I can sort of see the top
of the screen although its terribly out of sync, and everything looks fine.
