There were two UDC cards, a full length one with one port
and a half-length one with two ports. The full length one
was the earlier version which supported just about every
drive at the time including all the Mac floppy port devices
and the UniDisk 3.5. It'll also work fine with the Apple 3.5
drive.
The second UDC, the half length one, only supports the
Macintosh 400k/800k drives (no eject button), DuoDisk,
all 5.25 drives, and Apple 3.5 drive. Support for UniDisk
3.5 was removed, however a UniDisk 3.5 that's had the
"lobotomy" procedure performed to bypass its CPU can
still be used.
Either card supports the use of the SuperDrive as an
800k drive. They just won't use it as a _1.44MB_ unit.
(Naturally, this pretty much defeats the purpose of
having a SuperDrive.) ;-)
