I have another suspicion now: the power supply!
It could be that pulling the GS Juice Plus helped restore just
enough power to get the IIGS going for a time but now it is
glitching again.
If you have the original IIGS power supply, you can try that
in place of the Vulcan to power your motherboard (you can
put the Vulcan outside and run the hard drive in it if the cable
is long enough, but not use the Vulcan's power supply to
power the IIGS itself).
Now if this cures all problems with the Apple Memory Exp.
card installed, you could then replace it with the GS Juice
Plus and see if a good power supply reveals that the bigger
memory card is also OK.
