Re: File Uploads

That would be good. Please assume that and leave me alone. I should not have
said anything about Trenco, and rest assured I never will again (you could
upload UltraMacros v1.0 and I will say nothing!). I will settle the Trenco
issue with someone other than you. I will do that right now.

That's great. Ours is a subscription publication, a printed newsletter, with
disks, sort of like Shareware Solutions II or any other publication. My printed
newsletter is paid - however, the Apple II Mail Group (online) is free and
should not be confused with the newsletter.

I'm not an uploader, so anything that is released that would be of interest to
my readers is put on TEXAS II disks. I also provide documentation, update
manual changes for today's versions, and include any software updates, such as
AppleWorks 5.1 versions, or Y2K. That's the way we've always done it, and there
is nothing wrong with that. Just because an author releases something doesn't
automatically turn me into an uploader. I don't have the facilities to upload
easily, so I don't do it much.

I do include anything that would be allowed for upload in Steve Nelson's or Ray
Merlin's (both long-time supporters) package.

When I was on Delphi I looked at the staff member page and the AppleWorks
thread and I saw at least 3 names of people who could help you with your
dilemma. They have the same information that I do.Contunuously harping on me
isn't going to get you anywhere; it just provides entertainment for Ruby.

Your people used to send me vicious and horrible e-mail (copies available on
request), upon which I simply decided that your intimidating ways don't scare
me any more. This is why I do not wish to be involved. If you didn't get that,
read it again. That is the crux of this whole issue.

> I have no wish to get involved wit htat, but I AM interested in getting the
last and latest of the software I downloaded.

Neither do I. You should either (a) send e-mail for the information, or (b) go
to my web site and look at "AppleWorks and TimeOut updates." We also have
pre-owned software for sale which I try to make sure is the latest version.
TEXAS II on Disk vols 29-31 contain some freeware, along with AppleWorks 5.1
updates and Y2K fixes for the freeware. There are lots of ways to get it.

As I said, I will take care of Trenco right now.

Is Genie not working?
