6502 BE function ?
I am building an ISA card with a RAM+6502 (no real use, just for fun).
I want the ISA card to access RAM, and once the RAM is filled, to
isolate the RAM/6502 busses and let the 6502 work.
This was easily done with a Z80 as I can switch the data bus and @ bus
to high impedance.
As I do not have a datasheet of the original 6502, I am unable to figure out
how to set its data bus, @ bus and R/W# to hiZ state. Is that done using the
BE (bus enable) pin ? Also, depending on the "newer 6502" datasheets, I
am confused at the use of pin 1. Sometimes it is called VSS2 (ie ground),
sometimes it is used for some unclear (to me) purpose (vector fetch someting).
Am I to connect pin1 to GND ?
Any help on this design is greatly appreciated.
Thank you, Jean-Michel
