Hmm...unless this is newly (well in the last few years) released
data from Apple, these figures look high.  They'd add up to just
a hair under 12 million, and I'd always heard (from the c.s.a2
banter of the early 90's)  that the figure was about 6 million
total...all models.

I remember they trumpeted when the 10 millionth Mac was sold...
but of course after 1988, you'd be hard pressed to get Apple to
even confirm the Apple II was in production. :(

I wonder how many machines the II clone machines would add.
Perhaps a million?   Mostly Franklin Ace's and Laser 128s, of
course.   A few Collins' Orange+'es,  some of those Microsci
game boxes, some German Basis 108s, the Russian clones (Agat and
Pravetz).
