I agree. It is funny, but I do not think they ever realized what
kind of mistake the alienation of a loyal user base was. The
defection of II users to the PC was damaging. That's one of
the reason's for Apple's market share dropping from 80% in
the II days to around 10% today. Ask PC users. First
generation PC users, not the kids that grew up with '486es
how they got started. Most of us started on the Apple II.
If you wish to experience older Mac software, run MacOS 8.1,
and do not wish to reward Apple for the infanticide of the
IIGS, please check out http://www.emulators.com/ and get
your PC to run the Mac software you want. ;-)
Sorry, I'd rather keep my real IIGS rather than going Bernie.
However, I'd be more than happy to forgo a Mac and use
Gemulator Pro on my PC to run Mac stuff instead of a real
Mac.
