This is the one you want for a machine with 256K of RAM.

You've been pointed to some download sites. If those don't work for some
reason, you can buy a copy of the System 5.0.4 disks from us for $4. See
http://www.byteworks.org.
As you have them, the Apple IIGS computers you are using are set up for use
as fast 8 bit machines, more or less an Apple //e replacement. You will need
to add more RAM and a hard drive (best) or network all of them to a Mac
(cheap but slow) for these computers to be really useful as 16 bit machines.
This will probably cost about $200-$250 per machine if you buy the equipment
new; you may be able to find used equipment if you shop around. You should
get at least 1M or RAM per machine for most uses, or 4M for multimedia or
programming beyond BASIC. A 20M hard drive is fine for most uses; get a
bigger one if you intend to do multimedia or store large sound files. One
place to get this hardware is http://www.allelec.com.
