After I bought the rights to the program things in my life changed and I did not have the time to deal with it. I tried to get a couple of people who I know were involved at the start to take the program, but they had not interest. I was contacted by the users group in Seattle who wanted to distribute the program, but nothing came of it. Keven contacted me and I knew he was involved with Lance and figured he would be the best to handle it. It appears I was wrong, but there was nothing I could do about it. I believe I have a couple of GBBS rights who had belonged to Lance and someone else that could be transfered to someone else, but I'm not sure about how Keven would handle that. I know in the contracts it could be transfered to another with a notice to the rights holder and a possible fee, I never required any fee just a notice. I still have copies I most GBBS system holders and update were available from some versions for free; again I don't know what would happen if I were to update someones copy because I have no idea what Keven plans to do. I still have mine and it is on my Apple II and still functions as well a master copy of the last version issued plus my highly modified copy for OggNet. My job keeps me away from home with little time to do anything on my Apple, plus I really don't have much interest. If you do a Google search for Keven you will find his phone number,On Mar 1, 1:56 pm, IUnknown<stevement...@gmail.com> wrote:On Feb 28, 5:19 pm, Steven<diespamm...@killspammers.com> wrote:Try contacting Kevin Smallwood on Facebook or kevin_smallw...@yahoo.com. I have no idea what he has planned, he now has EXfer also.No offense steve, but this is a real shame and you are partly responsible. It wasn't that long ago that folks were inquiring about purchasing copies of GBBS which you politely declined saying that you had other plans. Others asked where to obtain copies of it, which you then reminded them of the fact that the software isn't free..... Regardless of whether it was being sold. The bottom line is that while I am certain that you intended to do well when you obtained the rights, an excellent piece of software is effectively in limbo with no support, no means of purchase and no means to obtain it via other (less legitimate) channels. ACOS and GBBS were shining examples of great apple 2 software, and are now in digital limbo. SadI have also contacted Kevin with no response on Facebook. It would be great if this package was either made available again or just outright released. I have been trying to get a new copy since prior to 2000 and no luck. (since ours was from 1985) If no updates are going to be made to this, please release it.
