Telnet works (seems to hang sometimes, and slow) on my PPP connection to
my local freenet. Have you fried hitting return after the initial
connect ?
With my connection I get a similair situation on initial connect, but a
return and about 20-30 wait seems to get me to the login screen then
again a 20-30 second wait gets me to the command line, next I tell my
ISP to set my terminal to tty. (Does telent support ANY other terminal
modes ???) So the connection works but slowwly and needs waking up every
now and then, but it does seems to get into a confused state ):
With my ISP's terminal type set to tty, telnet get's flipped into
MOUSETEXT alot as well. Anyone know a way to reset the terminal in
Telnet ?

I have a ZIPGS in my system and my connection is at 9600 with v42.bis.
I need to disconnect the AppleTalk Network and see if maybe that's
slowing the Connect down.

Keep you posted.
