I'm not going to comment on Nathan anymore except to say I
would have agreed with him had he not attacked me. I think
that's what turned many new users off to him.
It got to be so bad that I considered his attacks a form of
online hazing.

I try to contact every new IIGS user I see and I'm happy to
report that thanks to csa2 (with a little help from my IIGS
Tour), Alltech sold Focus drives to many of the new users
I communicated with. Without csa2, that would not have
happened.
I also use MUG! as a registered user because of csa2 and
that's thanks to the fact that Peter Watson as a developer
participates in csa2.
A couple of users also got RamFAST cards from Sequential
and one or two even sprung for Second Sights (now imagine
that). ;-)
