Apple Daisy Wheel Printer

Hi, does anyone know what serial port parms are required
by an Apple Letter Quality (Daisy Wheel) printer?

I picked up this printer along with an Apple ///, but I can't
get them talking!  I have a configurable serial cable, and have
lines 2 & 3 swapped (modem eliminator).

When I try to print, it starts a shrieking set of beeps, and
prints a line of carets.  Then it keeps shrieking.  What
a temper!

Any help is appreciated. (I also have Apple II computers, so
maybe there's something I can test by hooking it up to a II).
