Heh, ok. Well then I should be safe.

I agree that it is a definite 'wake up' kind of message to all.

Oh, definitely. I mean, they are really the mainstay of it, if you think
about it...the users comprise a base, but all the experienced people and
such are what keeps it together IMO.

And what keeps everyone happy is probably best in the long run.

Now, a note to everyone. By making this(these) post(s), I am _not_
"against" anyone. Ok? If you've emailed me, this applies to you twice as
much. In my opinion, if everyone could just get along, I would be fine
with it. But this is not a perfect world and everyone is entitled to their
opinion. But I do, now more than before, see that violating a copyright is
something that shouldn't be simply ignored, whether it's software,
writing, or even a concept of something. And I have actually quite gotten
sick of the 'it's so old it doesn't matter' and 'it's for the good of
everyone' defenses when it comes to software and such, because those are
merely justifications for yourself...If you're going to pirate software,
you're going to do it whether people like you for it or not, so you may as
well simply state "Yes, I have knowingly violated copyrights" or something
along those lines, rather than saying 'well, it isn't _reaally_ piracy you
know, I mean, it's old and you know, the apple II is sooo old,
and...'...it doesn't make you sound terribly likable, yes, but it's much
more tolerable than trying to divest yourself of all blame whatsoever with
shaky logic. And at least you admit your fault rather than trying to make
it into a quality. It seems like too many people just want to flap their
hands at a problem, and say 'well, now let's move onto something a little
more pleasant now ok?'
And...well, I am totally disgusted at piracy lately, a lot of the places
which I regularly visit about emulation, are now filled with lamers
eagerly and greedily demanding the newest and best, and it's not here
quick enough...it has really become warezish (I really hate that word, but
it so sums up the 'elite' mentality of the lamer)...some say that
emulation _is_ warez, but I think there is a really tangible point between
the two that people instead choose to cross out of their own
self-indulgence. But, anyway. I just want to point out that I am _not_
'joining in the mudslinging'...I do, however, agree that there is some
behavior that is in need of correction if everything is to continue on
properly. And if the carrot doesn't work, then try the stick. Does that
make sense? I think so. And this should be my last post on this.
