I would try:

comp.emulators.apple2--this should be in their field of
expertise--comp.sys.apple2 is mostly for people who are asking about
"real" Apple // computers.

and/or...

An emulator called "Bernie II the Rescue".  If I remember right, it
can use disk images AND real Apple II disks.
