Re: power supply apple IIe
Open up the power supply.
Look for the switching transistor (a big silver oval shaped object
mounted on a black finned heatsink) near this you will find a (normally
black) capacitor marked 220uF 10V the power supply printed circuit will
be marked C7 (for capacitor seven). Unsolder this cap and replace with a
220uF 16V 105 degree centigrade capacitor and it should work. The reason
why you go for a 105 with the new cap is because it dries out from the
heat from the switching transistor. NB Please observe polarity when
replacing the cap!
