Re: A2 Users: Endanged Species? I think not.
<< A palmtop computer based on the Laser 128EX/2 with 1MB of RAM,
a 3.6Mhz processor, and built in AppleWorks selling for say $100
would be rather neat, if I do say so myself. I mean, Franklin spell
checkers sell for around the same price and AppleWorks has a
spelling checker built in!
It already is out on the market. It an actual Laser that works with Apple II,
Mac and IBM computers, has a 5 or 10 line LCD display, etc. It was designed
for companies that did not have the money to spend giving, say, traveling
sales representatives their own laptop, but wanted them to input their sales,
etc. into a computer that could be downloaded to a desktop computer.
It looks pretty neat, but it still costs bucks! The company sent me a brochure
a while back which I showed off at a club meeting as what the Apple II might
have developed into.
