Re: Doubletalk board...
Yes, a fine card. It simulates the Echo II card, but it comes into it's own
with it's built in grammar rules. I love using it with Tutor-Tech to creating
talking stacks. There is also a programs that allows it to work with
AppleWorks (I just bought the update ($49.95 as I recall) that allows it to
work with AppleWorks 3 and 4, but I'm still having some problems getting it to
work the non-voice commands that it adds to AppleWorks.
The Douglas New Vision Center uses it with AppleWorks 3 to allow its patrons
to use text-only internet browser, email and AppleWorks files.

I contacted RC System a few weeks ago and they were pretty surprised that
anyone still used the Apple II computers. They still have parts on the shelf,
but the prices haven't changed. Basically, you have a $250 card in your hands.
Lucky acquisition!

I recently came upon a "Doubletalk" board made by RC Systems.
It is apparently a speech synthesizer board, but I have no
specs or software to operate it.
Does anyone know of this board or its software?
Please respond by email as well as posting, since I
only visit occasionally. ;-(
