...but only if

a) the disk you used for the copy was blank. Blank means really blank,
never used before. Some manufacturers write test patterns on the disks,
there disks have to be degaussed before use.

b) the drive you use for the copy is aligned perfectly, because this
will be the reference for the drive you are adjusting.
