No, just the ones who complain when you use something which is freely
distributable. For instance, I used the program Extra Variables in my
Amperdos program and got a 'nice' letter informing me I was breaking
the law. The guy was decent about it but I'd already done my research
and I knew the program was released as copyrighted freeware.

I have no problem with stopping those who affect publishers of currently
supported products. If I released my software for sale I would expect
the same support. However, there are many programs from dead companies
which are available no other way except the web archives. If you've
never used the programs before they will do you little good without
documentation. I have found the web to be an excellent backup for
programs in which the disks have failed.
