For those of us that have been around for 30 years or more, think back to
DR-DOS it was miles better than MS-DOS (just about anything is) but because
it cost more than a weeks wages people just kept using the inferior MS-DOS
which came with the IBM clones.
 
MS-DOS was always a 'dog' and will always be a 'dog'.
