Apple IIgs advice...

I have been itching to play some of my favorite games on the GS (like
bard's tale and test drive) but when I put the disk in I get the
message, "unable to load prodos". Does this mean the disk is bad? Or
that prodos just isn't on the disk? Some disks work fine and some give
me this message...is there some procedure I can use to run the games,
like load prodos from a second drive or loading the game from the GS's
GUI OS? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated...
