On the Spectravideo emulator, there is a program that reads Spectravideo
tapes (after they have been recorded into WAV files through your sound
card), and converts them into .cas images that the emulator can use.

So what you are trying to do is definitely possible !

I think I have the Apple Disk format settings somewhere - I'll try and dig
them out.

In the meantime, check out Asimov - there are some great utilities - with
source code included - that may help.
