Assuming you have a IIGS, connect the synth and the IIGS via
a MIDI converter and MIDI cable.

The IIGS uses Mac external MIDI interfaces.  I use the Opcode
MIDI Translator II.  Opcode makes this box for the Mac with
one MIDI input and three MIDI outputs.  It plugs into the IIGS'
modem port and has modem-pass-though so you don't lose
your modem.

Just use the Apple MIDI control panel in System 6.0.1 to set
it up. Then use any MIDI software on the IIGS.  Even if you
don't have notation software and a sequencer (which you can
get on the used market), you can always fool around with the
synth in the meantime by outputting MIDI through synthLAB.

By the way, I think this synth is an older design and that the
IIGS' internal synth might actually be more powerful.  ;-)
