That depends on how the TV deals with the loss of the color burst,
as Michael was discussing. This emulation currently produces
monochrome pixels on any line that was in text mode during the
burst time.

I can guarantee that no analog TV ever switched modes in less
than 16 milliseconds.

Oh yeah I wasn't doubting you Michael, just describing what my
code currently does. I'm planning on making a change there
soon.

I have wondered before why the Apple II doesn't kill color in the
text window at the bottom of graphics screens and now I know.

Also I can report that the text section of the Money Munchers intro
on a real IIe is color fringed.

I also looked at it again in NTSC Applewin and the first few lines
of the text section are drawn in color as are the last few, so the
video mode is graphics for at least part of the color burst cycles
on those lines.
