Hm, I send straight .bxy to myself all the time, AOL to CIS. It seems to work
fine.

I dl'd QFix from Cal Tech with the PC and unpacked it on the IIGS. After
applying a one of its patches I had serious hard drive problems (two hours of
that anxiety is enough for me). I am sure it was because of my ignorance and
not the program. So I am not going to attempt any external patches for QFix
simply because I am not going to be using it myself.
Jay says AppleWorks (patched with QFix) handles QFix file names on the safe
save, but not the quick save. So all anyone has to do is look for a second file
name routine in SEG.AW and patch that too.
Although I am curious - what happens when you try to rename a file with a
disallowed character with OA-N? If that's prohibited, then that needs to be
fixed, too.
