Also, you can save, read and write AppleWorks files only from AppleWorks' main
menu.  Try it elsewhere (such as "control-open apple-s) and you run into the
same old character restriction wall.
Still, it's nice to use "$" to represent dollars, accounts, money, and budgets
in file names.
I wish this would work with more programs!
