Re: How redicoulous can Ebay Get?

Hi, all. Although the winning bidder told me he bid real high and didn't
think it would go that high, it does seem wuite odd that the second place
bidder on both auctions is the same guy and his bid is one dollar less on
each. The winning bidder told me he thought $9.99 was a bit high, but
wanted originals. If he has been bidding on other stuff (Mr. Rose's post
shows it as such) then he knows a fair amount about playing a friendly game
of Ebay.

POINT - If he bid on that much stuff, then he should have known he could
have bid on the one that would be posted the next day or wekk or whatever.
Those of us that check Ebay (and I feel Mr. High Bidder is included)
generally know what is rare, what is going to go for a high price and what
can be found next week. For example, Apple IIe's are a dime a dozen and
untested too! Everyone knows good ole' Suz's auctions get jacked up above
true value due to great presentation (makes you wish you had a digital
camera, huh?). I could do without the ceremonial 1000th COOL!!, NEAT!!,
WOW!!, EXCELLENT, ALMOST PERFECT!!, SHOWROOM CONDITION!!, etc. etc. etc.
though.

Anyway, someone pointed out the discussed auction was "crazy". Now, we are
beginning to think it is bogus. It ain't the first time and won't be the
last.

IF ANYONE pays or even BIDS!! $76 for the System Disk or $51 for the Sample
Disk, then that is outrageous as the original post said.
And yes, I have bought and sold Apple II stuff on Ebay.

Thank you,
