Yes, I thought about it. Then I figured that someone who uses a net alias
without ever dropping a hint to his/her real name (admittedly, that I have
seen) must be prepared to wear the risks of mis-identification.

People who *have* registered have disabled the screen while they were "getting
around" to paying. Good luck to them - I would have trouble doing it and I
know the source code!

And the fact that someone is otherwise "moral" is no indication as to
whether they'll register. I've been surprised before by people I thought
I knew well.

FWIW, I can live with people not registering - that's the risk you take
with shareware. I tend to feel less happy when such people openly discuss
using my software on a regular basis. And no matter what the merits of
this particular case are, I've seen it happen where the names aren't
disguised.
