To which I reply: Well, that would indeed be a nice project for some
programmer to undertake. And, for what it's worth - the 'Clone' GS/OS
desktop application program will do this with a Disk Copy image file and
Sheppy has also released a shareware program - that's a GS/OS desktop
application - that can do multiple disk image <-> disk conversions that's very
user friendly and reported to be very stable, functionable and gainly in
popularity for use with the REAL IIgs users and the IIgs emulator users alike.
