System 6 does not REQUIRE a hard drive. If you use System 6 and ust the same
capacities as were available in System 5 the disk space required is almost the
same. Jusat get System 6 and losd just the parts you need. You can set up
different disks to do diferent things for you, more than you would be able to
do with System 5.

However System 6 has so many more things available that you will want to use
that you will be drooling for a hard drive. Once you get a hard drive you will
soon find out that 1.25 Meg in a ROM 01 machine is also cramped. A ROM 3 with
an Apple Memory Card fully populated will do for most things if you do not use
a Ram drive.
