Without the VOC you can only do titles on a blank screen first then you'd have
to cut to video. With a VOC you can overlay the text over the video, hence
the name of the card "Video Overlay". And for the recording VCR it's best to
use one with a flying erase head, and SVHS if you can afford it for best quality.
