The Epson Stylus inkjets are probably the best for AppleWorks Classic,
then.  They offer serial ports (intended for Macs, but works great for
IIGS units).  Plus, they support Epson LQ drivers, which AppleWorks
Classic has.

The Epson Stylus can also be used in GS/OS software using Harmonie
drivers.
