I bought a demo Pentium from Wal-Mart for less than the cost of the
monitor because of their lack of computer knowledge.

I seen a sale sign on two of their demos and ask about them. I got one for
around $350. The other one was not working when I got it. The manager
told my the hard drive was broke and would cost me over $800 to fix it.
I already had another hard drive and decided to take a chance that she
was wrong. She wanted $250. I offered $150 and she jumped at it. I guess
I should have started at $75. I reformatted the "broke" hard drive,
reinstalled
the software, and it worked great.  Some kid probably deleted something
important.

I think that's why I like Wal-Mart so much. They buy things they can't sell
around
here and I get them at a reduced price when they put them on clearance sale.

I passed up some Apple cables for $1 each there. Now that I have a IIgs I
could
use them.
