Really, if you figure in the time and effort involved in finding the
components for a reasonably complete IIgs system with accelerator, $340 is not
all that high. Finding a working GS packed with cards at a garage sale for $20
(or in a dumpster for free) is a possibility; but, you're talking about lucking
out.
"Retro computing" is gaining in popularity as more and more PC/MAc users
discover the utility and fun in platforms like the Apple II, IIgs, C-64/128--
plus that the machines continue to be supported and developed. The spply of
cheapo Apple II's is, still, pretty good; but, it's shrinking. Over the next few
years, user numbers and prices are likely to increase.
