Normally, this would be a BIG headache because you need a
file typer ON THE IIGS to retype the files and you would
normally need to download it first. Chicken and the egg.
Luckily, you are on AOL.
Use the following keyword to go to the Apple II Forum.
aol://4344:1264.a2main.10029531.514525857
Do not enter this into the URL box in AOL 4. Click on the
keyword button next to the URL box and copy and paste the
above keyword directly into the dialog box and then press
the "Go" button. AOL 3 and before are a little different. The
keyword command is not a button but a choice under the
Go To menu.
Once you get to the AOL Apple II Forum, look for the
"Mac to Apple II Transfers" button. Click on it and
on the scroll box to the right will appear a ShrinkIt!
DiskCopy image. Use a Mac to unDiskCopy this image
and you'll have a ShrinkIt! disk usable on the IIGS.
ShrinkIt! will extract all your files regardless of the
file type of the archive. Once decompressed, each file
within the archive will, of course, have the right file
type. The ShrinkIt! archive preserves the file types.
Good luck!
