Re: JAMCAM for use with the Apple IIgs

Jay Edwards wrote in quotes :) and I reply:

"This looks GREAT (and I'm a IIe fan)!"

Thank you - I thought so too and I'm also a IIe fan. It's a nice Apple II
model, I have several of them myself...but, You need a IIgs to use the JAMCAM
(or a PC).

"You should mention that the big rebate is $20.00, but only until May 31,
1999."

OK, I DID and so did you - THANKS - that's a software bundle rebate - guess the
best buy then is to order it by Monday, May 31st. But, if you'll read my other
reply thread to this - the OTHER rebate of $40 from the Mfg. of the JAMCAM -
seems to take a total of $60 from the retail price; depending on which online
or Tel. order you take it from - the price is respectively either; $79.99 or
$74.95. Either way you place the order - online - that's a mightly good price
for a digital camera you can use with either a IIgs or a PC. I doubt that the
'required' serial adapter/converter cable needed for use with the IIgs would
cost you all that much either.

"Now, what's special about an "Active 9-pin serical port to IIgs serial
adapter/converter connector cable?" I mean, besides being a mouthful."

As I mentioned above - unless you use the JAMCAM on a PC - you need it to use
it with a IIgs. And, I wouldn't call it a mouth full. Perhap you would :)
BTW, you didn't spell serial (serical) properly in your post sentence above.

Cheers,
Tom
