SiriusRAM GS problems

Today I received my Sirius RAM card and I immediately populated it
with 8 1MB SIMMS.  However the system crashes early in the boot
process when there is 8MB installed.  It is happy with 1, 2, or 4, but
not 8.

I have the following:

ROM 03
ZipGS
RamFAST
Vulcan 20MB

Could it be a DMA problem, if so with whom?  If it is the Vulcan
drive, does the 40MB controller have the same problem?
